Sponsored by the Lions Club, The Bernie Tractor Club held a Tractor Pull on September 13, 2008. The Tractor Pull was a great success with over 150 pulls and entries from not only the Bernie area, but from Dudley, Malden, Fisk, Dexter, Bloomfield, Parma, Puxico, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, and Wappepello. Participants also came from as far away as Piggott and Maynard, Arkansas.

Henry Tilmon of Bernie on his 1948 DC Case and the driver of this Minneapolis Moline take competitions seriously. Henry places 3rd in his category, the Stock 6500.
The tractor pull was put together through the help and hard work of many volunteers. Thanks to the Bernie Lions Club, Bernie Development, the Bernie Tractor Club, and all who donated their time to make the pull a great success.
The 1st Assembly of God Church sold hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks to the spectators throughout the day, with proceeds going to aid their youth group.
