Bernie City Park

Bernie residents are very proud of their city park.  Many of their town activities are held here such as the car show in June and the Fall Festival in October.  Many schools from the area come here for their end of the year outings.  When you check out all the park has to offer you can see why!

 

 

 

A wide variety of playground equipment  such as this "rocket ship" slide gives the children lots to keep them entertained

This huge jungle gym is a new addition to the park

 

 

 

The Bernie park has two basketball courts that provide hours of entertainment for the teenagers

The ball field is very popular in the summer for the Little League and Church Leagues

The tennis courts in the park have recently been repaired and painted.

The park also has a volleyball court.

The park has three pavilions, one of which can be reserved at the Bernie Police Department for a small fee.  These are great for reunions !!!

 

   

Walkers and joggers have a shaded 1/4 mile walking trail complete with exercise equipment along the trail they can use to kick up their workout

                                                 

Many prefer to walk the 1/3 mile road that circles the park.  Cyclists enjoy it too !!! 

 

There are many beautiful trees to look out along the way such as these memorial dedications.
